Fall Forum 2012, An Ongoing Conversation Among Friends, will once again take place at the Met School, 325 Public Street, Providence, RI.  The Met School is a longstanding member of the Coalition of Essential Schools network and is a fantastic place to continue the interaction and learning that characterizes Fall Forum.
 
You are welcome to make your own hotel/lodging arrangements, and we have reserved room blocks at two hotels in Providence.  Those hotels provide complimentary parking, included in your registration fee will be transportation on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10 in the morning and evening to assure that you can get from these hotels to the Met School and back-again—read on for detail about those arrangements.
 
If you are driving, parking is available at the Met School.
 
Travel to and around Providence
 
Airports 
Please check with your hotel to find out whether the hotel has a shuttle that picks up guests. Airport Taxi operates a shuttle ($11 one way) that goes to many hotels and central destinations in Providence; vist their website for more information.  Taxis are available at the airport as well. Visit the airport website for more transportation options.

Hotels
We have reserved rooms at reduced rates at the Wyndam Garden and Hilton hotels.  Please contact the hotels directly to reserve rooms, and be mindful of the date listed, Wednesday, October 10, 2012, after which the reduced room rates cannot be guaranteed.  If you are making reservations by telephone, please give group name as “Coalition of Essential Schools.”  Both hotels provide free parking when you reserve rooms as part of the “Coalition of Essential Schools” group.  

  • Wyndham Garden Providence, 220 India Street, $89 for singles or doubles with a charge of $10 per person for additional guests per room, in-room internet service free of charge. To make reservations, call 1-877-999-3223.

  • The Hilton Providence, 21 Atwells Avenue, Providence, RI, $119 for singles or doubles with a charge of $25 per person for additional guests per room, in-room internet service.  To make reservations, call 1-800- 445-8667.

Shuttle Service to the Met School on Friday, 11/09  and Saturday, 11/10

If you are staying at the Hilton and Wyndam, shuttle service will be provided by Flagship Trailways at no additional cost.  If you would like to use hotel shuttle service guests should arrange for shuttles with the front desk; this will be an out of pocket expense.

Shuttles will be provided from the Wyndham and Hilton hotels at the start and end of each Fall Forum day to convey you to and from the Met School campus.  This information will also be available at the hotels.

At the Met School, parking is available but limited; you may park on the streets surrounding the school if the lots are full.  For those using GPS or other direction finders, the address of the Met School is 325 Public Street, Providence, RI 02905.  Click here for a Google Map of the Met School’s location
