The Parker Charter School Regional Teachers Center: Connecting with the Broader Educational Community

The mission of the Regional Teachers Center is to serve as the Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School's "outstretched arm." The Center offers a variety of programs for educators from a diversity of schools. Teachers gather here for collective inquiry and meaningful dialogue about teaching and learning. Participants in this session will explore Parker's philosophy and structure, understand the role that the Regional Teachers Center has in promoting the school's philosophy, and leave with tools and strategies for implementing a similar program in their schools. The hands-on, interactive facilitation tools used in this workshop mirror those experienced by students, staff and visitors at Parker.
