Facilitator(s): Darlene Tribby, Mary Karlovec

Roundtable   +   Community Connections: parent involvement   +   Elementary School
In this roundtable discussion, participants will have the opportunity to learn how one CES school actively involves parents and the community in the education of elementary students. We will discuss the benefits of our September listening conferences, family math and literacy nights, guided reading training for parents, and our at-home literacy development and math opportunities. Ideas for expanding ongoing parent involvement will be explored. Participants will have opportunities to reflect upon and share ideas to promote greater parental involvement in nurturing children's progress in both reading and math.
