Planning for Fall Forum 2002: On the Road to Washington D.C.
Facilitator(s): Amy Davis

Workshop   +   Community Connections: community as resource   +   Everyone
A school law attorney serving on the CES National Executive Board shares her experiences as a student and as a professional in establishing local and national community connections with policymakers. With a special focus on heading to Washington D.C. for the 2002 Fall Forum, this workshop is intended to help educators develop strategies and an action plan for expanding community connections. The workshop will also focus on personalizing teaching and learning by helping community stakeholders better understand the successful teaching methods and student achievement that is occuring within their local schools. We will meet in small, geographically-diverse groups to brainstorm and present ideas and strategies.
Date/Time: Friday, 10:30am - 12:30pm   Room: CC 205   Session #148
