"If We Knew Then": Reflections on Starting New Schools
Facilitator(s): Marian Mogulescu, Nancy Mann

Workshop   +   School Design: structures   +   High School
In this workshop, staff of Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom and Vanguard high schools will reflect on lessons learned while developing school structure, culture, and portfolio graduation as part of the small schools reform movement in New York, NY. Building a school requires practical action and a constant elaboration of the vision that guides those actions. Practitioners reflect on nine years of experience in new schools and explore implications for those educators now starting new schools.
