Facilitator(s): Elizabeth City, Michael Hale

Workshop   +   Classroom Practice: curriculum & instruction   +   Everyone
What makes a great seminar facilitator? Is is just a knack that some people have? Is it a mysterious combination of art, science, and magic? How can you improve your seminars? In this session, we will demystify seminar facilitation and provide a framework for thinking about the decisions that facilitators make during seminar. You will participate in a seminar, watch video clips of seminars, use a rubric, and develop strategies for balancing the critical components of successful seminars. This session will be most useful for experienced seminar facilitators. We will not be discussing the fundamentals of how to conduct a seminar.
