What Important Things Should Students Be Asked to Do? "Less is More" Graduation Exhibitions That Demonstrate Mastery
Facilitator(s): David Thompson

Workshop   +   Classroom Practice: assessment   +   High School
A graduation exhibition should demonstrate that students can do important things, but how many important things should they be asked to do? Come discuss the challenges inherent in developing an exhibition that reflects your school's goals for essential skills and knowledge without compromising a belief in depth over breadth. Share the merits of your school's exhibition expectations and discuss any compromises that have been made in the process of creating them. Gain a broader perspective about the elements that can make up an exhibition, and leave with a stronger sense of the importance of various elements in your school's exhibition protocol.
