What Happens When We Look into the Mirror of Our Work? Self-Reflection As the Core of Formal Evaluation and Improved Practice
Facilitator(s): Gia Truong, Gregory Peters

Workshop   +   School Design: structures   +   Everyone
This workshop will balance presentation and interaction as participants learn about Leadership High School's evaluation process, which evolved from staff's demand for meaningful, authentic feedback and equitable accountability. Our process starts at a retreat where everyone identifies personal, leadership, student achievement, and equity goals. These goals are used to develop essential questions, which drive our peer coaching process. Staff use peer coaching learnings and student feedback to write self-evaluations used in the formal evaluation, which is reviewed in a culminating meeting with the principal. Participants will practice and role-play steps within the yearlong development of the evaluation process.
Date/Time: Saturday, 10:30am - 12:30pm   Room: CC 201   Session #223
