Coaching for Transformation: How BayCES Coaches Leaders to Address Inequity in Their Schools
Facilitator(s): Kathleen Osta, LaShawn Route-Chatmon

Workshop   +   Leadership: change process   +   Everyone
The BayCES coaching model has been developed collaboratively with partners regionally and nationally over the last six years. The practice of BayCES coaching draws from many disciplines including: systems-change theory, critical pedagogy, adult learning theory, community organizing, cognitive coaching, and social work. The primary goal of BayCES coaching is to build the skill, will, knowledge, and capacity of local leaders to design and lead high-achieving, equitable schools. Participants will explore the meanings of SKILL, WILL, KNOWLEDGE, and CAPACITY, and have an opportunity to reflect on their own practice through this conceptual framework.
