September 11 and its Aftermath: Our Students, and Our Curriculum
Facilitator(s): Amy Gerstein, Kathy Simon

Workshop   +   Classroom Practice: curriculum & instruction   +   Everyone
All of us have had to decide how to discuss the events of September 11 with our students and to use these events to deepen student understanding of the subjects that we teach--and of the nature of our world. This session is designed for educators to share what they have done with students in response to these events and how students have reacted. We will think together about ways in which some of the key questions our country is now grappling with may be incorporated into the curriculum. The session will be facilitated by a CES National staff or board member.
Date/Time: Friday, 8:00am - 10:00am   Room: CC 211   Session #312
