| Workshop + Community Connections: community as resource + High School |
| We all wonder about the quality of our drinking water. In the Water Project, students learned environmental science and chemistry in order to analyze the tap water of 100 homes in Boston, and presented their findings in an evening town meeting. In this workshop you will learn about the Water Project curriculum, look at student work, and hear about the grant writing process used to fund the project. You can also analyze tap water yourself using graphing calculators and probes! A discussion about implementing similar, community-based projects and grants in your own school will follow. |
