Peer Evaluation, Principal Evaluation: How to Develop It, How to Implement It
Facilitator(s): Kathleen Smith

Workshop   +   School Design: teacher collaboration & learning   +   Everyone
Hear about a national trailblazer in peer evaluation! A team of Hi-Mount Community School stakeholders from the Milwaukee Public School system will present their process for evaluating teachers and principals. Through a memorandum of understanding with the unions, extensive research, and networking, Hi-Mount has created and implemented a plan of evaluation that utilizes a team of teachers, parents, and administrators. The plan consists of self-evaluation, goal setting, peer observations, peer support, and team review; these processes culminate in a professional portfolio. At this workshop, both parents and teachers involved in the process will share the stages of developing and implementing the method of peer evaluation currently in practice at our school.
