School Portfolios: All-School Assessment |

| The Met, a unique public school in Providence, is structured to encourage ongoing, critical reflection. Inquiry and change are built into the design of the school so that students and staff can continuously improve practice and bolster achievement. As part of this process, the school produces a yearly portfolio that includes data of all sorts, from test scores to parent quotations to explanations of internship work. This comprehensive assessment document gives the community an in-depth understanding of the school. In this session, participants will examine the process of documentation and data collection that the school uses to produce this document. We will consider what data schools need to be accountable to the community, and how schools can include rigorous qualitative measurements of school and student performance. |
