| African American males continue to be an at-risk group in many schools. An "irrelevant" curriculum is often seen as contributing to that risk. This workshop will explore how Socratic Seminars can be used to make even the most seemingly out-of-date thinkers relevant by empowering students to question and develop their own understandings. |
