Dramatic Structures: Skills of Presentation for Lasting Learning

Workshop   +   Curriculum & Instruction   +   Everyone
We know that drama is great for kids, right? But how do we bring it into the classroom--even into subjects like science, history, languages? How do we encourage students who "just don't do that stuff"? In this workshop we'll learn how to take drama, put it into students' hands, and help them mold it into a deeper knowledge of the material in the curriculum. Learn skills to guide students through creating dramatic structures to express their learning, and develop a process of inquiry and synthesis that is highly cognitive, personalized and creative. Varied genres of writing will be used.
