Urban Schools: The How To's of Parental Involvement

Roundtable   +   Community Connections   +   High School
One of the most difficult challenges facing high schools today is how to make parents and families an integral part of the education process. The challenges increase in an urban setting when problems with transportation, multiple job obligations and childcare are exacerbated. Parents provide a vital foundation for their children's educational experience. This roundatable will engage participants in conversation around these issues. Examples of projects and activites with parental involvement will be shared, and participants will receive a packet of resources to support their own development of parental involvement.
