There's No Place Like Home: Family Visits as the Foundation of a True Home-School Partnership |

| How can we use family visits to get to know our students' families and start building a true home/school partnership? Come discuss your experiences of establishing relationships between families and educators. Talk with the Highlander School teachers and parents about how we used home visits before the first day of school as the beginning to an ongoing process of family engagement. Create guiding questions which you can use during first interactions with families. Help us consider the ways in which family visits can change the dynamic of the home/school relationship and can provide incredible insight into our learners' lives and experiences. |
