How Does Integrated Science Work in High School?

Workshop   +   Curriculum & Instruction   +   High School
Have you always been interested in the concept of integrated science but weren't sure how to implement it in your school? This interactive workshop will present an overview of an integrated science model. It will also provide a useful tool to map a curriculum that both encompasses all science disciplines and meets content standards. Participants will be able to explore a model of Fenway High School's five-year-old integrated science curriculum, examine multiple modes of assessment through student work, discuss successes and struggles with integrated science teachers, and engage in an activity to develop concrete ideas for integrated units to take back to their classrooms.
