Looking Back on the Portfolio Process |

| Presenters of this workshop worked together at Central Park East in the late 1980's and early 90's; three worked in the high school, and one was a member of the staff of the elementary school. Two left Central Park East to found portfolio schools in the Coalition projects that replaced large, failing, neighborhood high schools. Portfolios can be used for student assessment, but they are also windows on the beliefs, values and practices of a school. In this workshop, we will share our experience building portfolio cultures and assessment systems in several different situations over a number of years. |
