Helping Large Schools Get Small |
| Roundtable + School Design + High School |
| This session will focus on issues of school design--and redesign--with an emphasis on how schools can use time, budget, staffing, and student groupings to create smaller, more personalized learning communities for both students and teachers. During this session, we will explore and discuss examples of schools that have created smaller learning communities, review and discuss relevant research, and create action plans which outline steps for examining and redesigning school structures in participants' own school sites. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to share their thinking and plans, and will receive critical feedback from colleagues and coaches in a critical friendship consultancy protocol. |
