Teaching, Learning and Leadership: School Leaders Look at Student Work
|
| Workshop + Managing Whole School Change + Everyone |
| CES Schools are committed to the idea of helping adolescents "learn to use their minds well". An important dilemma for CES schools and school systems, however, is deciding exactly what this means and looks like in their schools and classrooms. The challenge is compounded by the fact that school and system leaders often have little agreement or deep understanding about what good teaching and powerful learning might look like. In this session, participants will reflect on the initial findings of a research project done with two school system leadership teams who focused on student work. Participants will also practice the Collaborative Assessment Conference protocol, the primary structure that both leadership teams have used. |
