| Message: | Dear Colleague:
Fall Forum is fast approaching and we write to give a few updates and reminders.
For those of you who have not yet registered, there's still time! Don't miss out on an outstanding lineup of speakers, sessions, and events this year. In addition to over 200 sessions from which to choose, the conference program includes six compelling pre-conference workshops, school visits, and an exceptional opening session that will feature addresses by CES founder Ted Sizer, CES graduate Zawadi Harmon, and current CES student Raymond Ramirez. You may register for all Fall Forum events online at www.essentialschools.org.
Hotel Reservations
Make your hotel reservations now! The deadline for reserving hotel rooms at the special discounted rates is this coming Monday, October 20. We have added two more hotels to the list of places with room blocks for Fall Forum participants. To reserve a room, call the hotel directly and mention the CES Fall Forum. Rooms are still available at the following hotels:
Hampton Inn & Suites 614-559-2000
Red Roof Inn 614-224-6539
Hyatt at Capital Square 614-228-1234
Crowne Plaza 614-461-4100
Online Program Guide
The Online Program Guide is now available at www.essentialschools.org. With over 200 sessions in the conference program, choosing which sessions to attend can be difficult and time consuming. Searching the program ONLINE is the easiest way to find sessions of interest, allowing you to build a complete itinerary in advance of your arrival. Once you find an event that interests you, you can locate more information about the session and its facilitators.
HOW DO I PLAN MY FALL FORUM EXPERIENCE?
PARTICIPANTS: - Read the descriptions of all sessions - Find out who is facilitating, when and where - Use the sophisticated searching tools to easily locate sessions by time, strand, type, and audience - Communicate with facilitators - Download session-related documents that facilitators have made available
FACILITATORS: - Find out when and where you are scheduled to facilitate - Get a sense of who might be attending your session - Communicate with participants before and after the conference - Upload session-related documents for participants to access in advance and after your session
EVERYONE: - Create a conference itinerary (complete with personal meetings) and print it out so that you can arrive in Columbus with your schedule in hand
Please remember that indicating interest in a session online does not reserve a space for you in that session.
We look forward to this year's gathering with great excitement and hope you will be able to join us. See you in Columbus!
