1. Last Call for the CES Small Schools Summer Institute!

Registration for the CES Small Schools Summer Institute closes this coming Friday, June 17th. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to learn from some of the most innovative and experienced small schools educators in the country! This institute will feature workshops, discussion groups, and facilitated planning time, all organized around the following essential question: how do we design and continuously improve schools that support powerful instruction and success for all students?

The institute will take place July 11-15 at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. For more details and to register for the institute, visit our website:

2. Fall Forum Proposals are due June 20th

The deadline for submitting a proposal to facilitate a session at Fall Forum 2005 is next Monday, June 20. If you are interested in facilitating a session, but have not yet submitted a proposal, please visit our website for additional details and to access the online application form. This year, we focus on the freedom to learn and the right of students, along with their parents and teachers, to have a say in how they are educated. Join us in imagining schools that equip all students with the knowledge and skills to make the most of their lives and to get a fair start on a promising future.
