The Essentials
of Small Schools:

Principles and Practices for Equity and Achievement





 


 

Learn
how to design small high schools





The Summer Institute will include workshops, discussion groups, and facilitated
planning time organized around the CES Common Principles.





Workshops and roundtables feature some of the most effective small schools
educators in the country, including those from CES Mentor Schools Urban
Academy, Eagle Rock School, Boston Arts Academy, Quest High School, Wildwood
School, High Tech High, The Peace St. Campus of The Met and Fenway High
School.






The Summer Institute is open to individuals and teams who are interested
in creating or refining small schools, or converting large comprehensive
schools into small schools.

Small Schools Project




is a network of exemplary small "mentor" schools, new schools
design teams, and large school teams converting into new, small schools.
The CES Small Schools Project brings together some of the nation's best
small school educators and schools, all organized around the Common Principles
of the Coalition of Essential Schools.
