The vision of the Bronx High School for the Visual Arts is to provide a quality educational program in and through the arts that emphasizes critical thinking, student engagement and deep curricular knowledge necessary for authentic student achievement and for meeting state standards.
Our school is based on the belief that an arts curriculum, developed in conjunction with the major disciplines, will develop lifelong learners who are informed, responsible and productive citizens and empower them with the skills and knowledge to respond creatively to the individual and collective changes they will face in their lifetimes.
Our mission will be accomplished by working together with parents and the community to
provide students with challenging programs that reflect high expectations and promote
excellence in a safe, nurturing environment.
