Brian Gonsalves

Brian Gonsalves is Coordinator of Student Support Services at Fenway High School in Boston, Massachusetts and part-time Faculty Advisor for the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. Brian has worked at Fenway High School since 1995. Prior to Fenway he worked as a clinical social worker for New England Medical Center, Boston High School and the South End Community Health Center.

Brian has made it his focus to work with urban adolescent populations over the past 17 years. He coordinates the boys after school discussion group and co-founded the John R. Moore program at Fenway HS, a mentoring program for at risk males of color. His role at Fenway includes supporting the social and emotional needs of students, assisting teachers, advising parents, managing school climate, supervising clinical interns, and assisting in school leadership. Brian also teaches Advisory to ninth grade students and provides guidance and post high school planning to seniors. He has coached both boys and girls basketball in the high school and the Boston Police League.
