Your Virtual Connection to the CES Community

CES ChangeLab provides educators with behind-the-scenes access to the best practices, tools, and strategies of some of the most effective schools in the country, the CES Mentor Schools. This site aims to help educators envision what their school could be, provide easily accessible, useable resources for teachers and principals to put into practice in their own schools and classrooms, and allow educators across the country and around the world to interact on pertinent educational issues.

Phase one of ChangeLab launched on January 15th, 2004 featuring the first five Mentor Schools: Boston Arts Academy, Federal Hocking, Humanities Prep, Quest, and Urban Academy. ChangeLab is designed to be easy-to-use and underwent two rounds of extensive usability testing. Resources, discussions, and panels all follow the same five focus areas thus concentrating the exchange of ideas to critical educational areas. The simplicity of the overall look and feel and navigation has made CES ChangeLab a key resource for schools striving for excellence and a valuable tool in our overall efforts to exhibit the power of the CES principles.

CES ChangeLab is a part of the CES Small Schools Project , generously funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
